AT TITI'S BALCONY

At Titi's Balcony (Au Balcon de Titi, 79' & 52')

 

Titi is a Jewish Egyptian communist who spent 11 years in jail. In 2011, I meet Titi alias Albert Arrié in the midst of 2011 riots. He is 81. The film follows Titi over the course of two years as past and present meet at his balcony.

At Titi's Balcony is a journey oscillating between inner and outer worlds. As you open the blinds to Titi's balcony, you experience the space between Titi's colorful past, fleeting images of the present, and the onrushing kaleidoscope we call future.
